Course Profile
Plastering
· Set up Working area
· Identify tools and materials to be used
· Storage of materials and equipment
· Mix plaster and practise using plaster hawk and trowel
· Cut plasterboards and fix to wall
· Identify and fix floating beads to reveals
· Dot and dab method of fixing plasterboard to walls
· Mix plasterboard finish, plaster and skim boards
· Plasterboard ceiling and scrim over joints
· Plaster and skim ceiling plasterboards
· Mix and apply bonding/browning coats to walls
Course Costs: Beginners £99.00 to include materials
Days and Times:
Beginners Wednesday 6.30pm - 9.30pm
Additional Materials required: Plasterers trowel, float, hawk,
tape measure, Stanley knife, Bucket, sponge and 4inch paint brush
Please note that safety boots must be worn
Hard hats and goggles must also be worn (provided)
