Brickwork Course Profile
Aims and Objectives:
· Identify Tools
· Establish Working Area
· Identify mortar mixes
· Handle bricks
· Mix mortar to correct consistency
· Roll and throw mortar
· Place perpend joints on bricks
· Construct brickwork pyramid to upright level and gauge and
range through
· Construct half brick thick 90° right angled corner gagmush joints finish
· Construct corner cavity brick and block incorporating cavity ties
· Construct half brick thick wall incorporating horizontal flexible damp proof course
· Construct 75mm cavity brick and block work incorporating vertical flexible damp proof course
· Construct 18 inch pier in brickwork with cut and stride joint finish
· Set out and construct 9 inch English quarterbond wall
· Set out and construct 9 inch Flemish bond wall
