Course Profile
OCR Certificate in Adult Numeracy, Levels 1 & 2
This course enables you to work towards a recognised qualification in numeracy at a level
appropriate for you. Teaching will be tailored to the individual learner by carrying out an initial assessment to determine your current level, followed by a diagnostic test to determine the particular focus of learning for you. The results of this will be the basis for your Individual Learning Plan .

Do I have to sit an assessment or exam?
Yes. It is part of your agreement when registering onto the course. This takes place at a
mutually agreed time by the tutor and learner and involves a multiple-choice paper of 40
questions. The pass mark varies but individuals will need to achieve around 28 correct answers. The level paper sat is determined by the learner’s confidence and suitability, as ascertained by student/tutor.
Completion of paperwork (enrolment forms etc)
All must be done prior to beginning the course
