Course Profile
Guitar
The course will begin with a short introduction to the guitar and a small amount of theory of music.
Class will start with a few easy basic chords and strumming patterns. Progressing gradually to a more extensive range of chords and fingerpicking patterns. A small amount of a tablature will also be taught.
Confidence and ability will gradually be built up so that the student is able to perform a variety of songs and music both in a group
and individually.
* Learn the basics
* Open chords and major scales
* Bar Chords
* Hammer on’s pull off’s slide techniques
* Strumming patterns
Equipment required: Your own acoustic or electric guitar, spare strings, Tuning device (optional) pen and
Paper, folder, plectrum & capo.
Attendance: Tuesdays 7.00-9.00pm
